Walk MS 2014

My first Walk MS was October 25th 2014. Following a relapse that left me in a place that I felt I need to reach out to others with MS.  That was and is my mission to reach out to others with MS and raise awareness. I hoped that I could be of support, a shoulder to lean on, a positive inspiration or just make someone laugh. I’ve done other walks and I’ve been involved in many other charity events. This walk was different. I wasn’t prepared for how emotional it would be. I had this overwhelming feeling that I’m not even sure how to describe when I realized I was surrounded by people who were going through the same experiences and struggles. All these people were here for the same reason and with the same goal.

I won 3 awards at this walk. I am proud that I was able to raise funds for programs that help those living with MS. That is a great feeling but  seeing and meeting these people was a true inspiration. What they gave me that day was the real gift. The knowledge that I am not alone and a deeper understanding of how important this is.

Team Beautiful Butterflies 11/14/2015

Walk MS Phoenix 2015. November 14th. This was my 3rd Walk. It was tough physically but so worth it. I am so proud of my team! We raised $3218. I had a great time with family and friends. Thank you Beautiful Butterflies for all of your support!
