First of all I want to say thank you to my team Beautiful Butterflies. Thank you for being a part of this event and showing your support
I also want to thank all of you that have shown support for my blog. Let me rant when needed and offered encouraging comments! Thank you.
As some of you know I was having Mixed Emotions about the walk this year. I’m so glad I pushed myself to be a part of it again. It was a great event! Not without struggle. Let me tell you I didn’t know if I was going to make it. Walking was very difficult. My left leg drug the whole way. I must have tripped 100 times.
I joked with my daughter that maybe next year I should change our team name. Turtle something. She said maybe snail something. I’m sure not gracefully floating like a Beautiful Butterfly any more. Ha…ha.
My sister reminded me countless times that she had brought the wheelchair for me. I’m hard-headed though. I was determined to walk. I was determined to drag my leg until it couldn’t be drug any further.
I think my sister realized about half way through I was ignoring the wheelchair. She told me well the good thing is when the zombies come we won’t be eaten because you have the zombie walk down. They’ll think we’re one of them. Lol.
With the help of my friends and family I made it!
Congrats…but I vote for ‘turtle’ something; I mean, snails are so icky!
How astute of your sister to point out your growing ‘zombie’ skills…
Laugh hearty, you two!
